Terry Adams

"Majide" is a Japanese expression, which translates to "Really?" or "Are you serious?" in English.

Red Bull athlete, X Games gold medalist, Raising Canes ambassador, fitness enthusiast, morning person, hat wearer, lover of pizza; and many other things. Terry Adams is dedicated to his healthy lifestyle and is passionate about his profession; flatland BMX.

Hot and humid this morning was as you can see in the first picture below, were I didn’t allow time for my lens to acclimate. We had planned to shoot in his garage a bit but we encountered an unforeseen setback – his wife's car, which was supposed to be moved out, had a dead battery and couldn't be moved. We made do though.

Terry's daily routine is marked by a dedication to mindfulness. Every morning (usually at 3:30a), he begins his day with a meditation session. Allowing him to clear the mind.

The grind don’t stop.

For Terry, working out is as personal as a fingerprint, embedding itself into the very fabric of his identity. It's more than just a routine or a means to an end; it's a lifestyle and a testament to his commitment to health and self-improvement.

Loaded up and headed into Downtown Hammond, where we grabbed some coffee from Luma Coffee Roasters and took a few staged shots in the middle of the street, timing it with the red light trying not to block traffic. A photo-bomber appeared out of nowhere. He was a vibe.

Continued to ride around town until it was studio time.

THE FIRST TRICK AT TAYLOR HOUSE STUDIO HAMMOND

After shooting at Taylor House Studio we hit up the local farmers market to grab some eggs and veggies for breakfast.

These eggs supposedly have the most orange yolk they make. And by “they” I mean chicken, I’m just using slang. He also picked up a brownie for his wife.

Terry likes his eggs scrambled. They were pretty orange btw.

We finished off the morning at his riding pad behind his home which he dubbed, “The flattest place in Louisiana”. Was a little wet so he had to squeegee it off to dry faster.

Oh yeah, if you were wondering, “Majide” is the name of Terry’s bike frame company.
